Aside from producing high-quality structural timber products in standard dimensions, Vida also offers customization to add extra value to our customers.

A large portion of our production is sawn and processed based on customer requests. We can offer this customization in large-part due to our twelve sawmills that are equipped with leading-edge technology. This technology allows us to not only have our customer’s requests be extremely accurate, but also have it delivered to them as efficiently as possible.

Vida Wood also initiates a value-added proposition with our logistics capabilities.

We believe that the entire logistics flow should be considered. From felling sites to the sawmills, and from the sawmills to our ports, every step is considered and made as efficient as possible so that we can provide our products to our customers when they need it. Vida Wood US provides complete logistical support from our mills to our North American customers. Here is how it is done:

Our international vessels continually bring the finest Scandinavian and European production across the Atlantic.

Loading in the ports of Scandinavia and Europe and unloading in the ports of Morehead City & Wilmington, NC, Savannah, GA & Port Canaveral, FL in the South Eastern United States, our stock is replenished every three to six weeks.

We provide on-site storage solutions to maintain the quality of our products until they reach our customers.

Dimension products are organized and stored on our lumber yards and warehouses at each port for quick and easy loading access. Boards are stored in our enclosed shelters for added protection from the elements with similar ease of access.

We provide flexible and dependable options for the delivery of your orders.

With a delivered price, our logistics department can load and ship your orders to their destination on time. Our trucks are booked to arrive during the “week of” the due date. Rush orders can be shipped with urgency depending upon the availability of product and drivers. For large quantities shipping over long distances, we can also offer load 71’ & 73′ center beam rail cars for delivery to your reloads across the country.

Do you need a different pack size? Or, a certain barcode label for a particular customer? No problem!

We can provide repackaging and/or re-barcoding of units before shipment with minimal additional cost. Ask your dedicated account manager for more details.
